Description
Rare petite Victorian wall pocket in the form of a crown, England, circa 1880. Made of brass with pierced detail and warm patina. These crown-form pockets are highly sought after, especially in this smaller size. Originally hung near hearths to hold matches or cuttings. A whimsical and regal touch of 19th-century English design. Light wear and oxidation consistent with age.
